Re: Rehersal Dinner

Being that we are getting married at the RH, we won't be having an actual rehersal they do a quick run through right before. So i think we are going to do a new years eve dinner at our house with our families and the BP and it will give everyone something to do for NYE

I have been forced to think about it since FMIL is the one handling that.

We would like to have it at our RH since the restaurant is in there.
We are gonna try for the day before the wedding. The girls are gonna do a spa day at the RH and I am sleeping there that night (w. my little sisters)so I will be have the room to get ready in for the rehearsal dinner and the day of.

I've thought about it...but havent made any final decisions. I'd really like it at one of the wineries...but prob not in the budget since FH and I have to pay for it ourselves (his parents havent offered). I might have it at an Italian restaurant in Center Moriches called La Volpe instead

i want to have it somewhere thats not italian cuz my reception is mostly italian food. for the rd...im thinking maybe danford's or the village way restaurant in port jeff...or the hyatt in hauppauge (i think) cuz im looking into that hotel to block out rooms. not sure though, im so indecisive but theres time

we were thinking maybe the wander inn in Baldwin since we love that place. We are not sure since its not close to where we live or where the rh is so we r keeping out options open...

We were actually thinking something simple like Bob's place on Jericho. We love the decor and the food! Plus half of the attendees would be coming from SI so we don't want to have it too far out east but close enough to the church. Since our wedding is a Friday we were thinking of doing it the Friday before but now maybe just the Wednesday before to keep the flow of events going.

Fh's mom is paying and I know money is tight for her so I want to book it or at least plan it with enough time for her to save the money up. Im about 11 months away so so I figured I'd start seeing whats out there

I know! And I love the decor. Do you live around there?

Mine's a long ways away, but we'll probably do just a bbq at FH's parents house since it'll be June. They have a huge backyard, and they live only about 10-15 minutes away from the church. They'll have it catered, but it'll be nice and relaxing. The last think I want is to have to get everyone (mostly myself) all dressed up the day before the wedding. I'm thinking jeans and flip flops.

Re: Rehersal Dinner

it all depends on $$$....if fh's parents pay for it, we will have it at garden grill in smithtown, if they don't pay then I plan on just ordering some trays of food and having everyone back at my parents home.
