Do you invite you deacon/priest/officiant to the restaurant for dinner? We are not super close to ours or regular church goers. TIA!

I never thought of it until FH asked me tonight after booking the restaurant for our Rehersal Dinner.
My brother had his Pastor at the RH but they are close so it's a totally different story
wow, good point! I never thought of that and I don't know... We have 2 priests marrying us. They are family friends. I am going to ask FMIL tonight when I see her and see what she thinks. I will share what she says...
I believe as far as etiquette is concerned, you should invite them... obviously, they can decline to attend- but they should be invited.
