My wonderful FH who has done nada for this wedding wants me to call a bunch of places to make sure we aren't being 'taken' by my choice. Instead I figured I would ask you girls who have already booked or had theirs. They are quoting us 38 a person for open bar, call liquor and four entree choices for a private party in our own room. Is this about right? I have no idea on this stuff.

Yes that is a good price if it includes open bar.

we paid somewhere between $25 and $30 (i think MIL paid for the RD though)... but that only included soda and all that stuff.... then we ran a tab for the bar stuff.. and that was probably a couple of hundred

Ok that is a great price then. The places we checked wanted $25 and up just for open bar alone.
