Rehersal Dinner in SEAFORD/WANTAGH area.

I am getting married @ The Woodlands in November 2009. We are interested in doing a Rehearsal Dinner somewhere near our home in Seaford/Wantagh.

The Woodlands recommended some of the restaurants their parent company owns, but when we went to look @ one (H.R. Singletons) it was definitely not what we were looking for. The offered a 4 hour block, and the food didn't seem specific to the restaurant-- and the room was in the basement!

We are looking for an affordable, quiet place to just do a dinner and some drinks to thank our wedding parties and immediate families. And a place to give out the gifts for the wedding parties. We don't need 4 hours and a mini-wedding.

Any ideas?

(Also, just an FYI. I'm the Groom. I would have posted on the Groom section, but it doesn't look like anyone checks there!)

would you mind going out to massapequa? my BIL had his rehearsal dinner at sergios and it was small, quiet, and i think cheap too, the food was good!

we went to the Oak Chalet in Bellmore. while we didn't have a private room, we were in a corner area and had a lovely evening. dinner from their regular menu.

We looked at a place in Wantaugh called Thom Thom that was really nice. It was Asian Fusion, definitely worth checking out!

My Brother had his RD in the same spot!! It was nice, and there is a private room for you to use, but not fancy like a mini-wedding!

Try Paddys Loft in Massapequa. They were great and it seems they will have everything you are looking for!

La Piazza in I think its either Bellmore or Merrick. I know they have a private room and the food is good.

Paddys Loft is amazing. I love the food there they are reasonable and do everything to accomodate their customers. We have all our family parties there.
I also am a big fan of Cara *** Due in Seaford on Merrick Road its soo good. You wont be disappointed.
You can also try the Wantagh Inn they have a nice space to accomodate a decent group of people.

You should check out Ciao Baby in Massapequa on Sunrise...its about 5 minutes from the Seaford train station. They do family style and it's soo good!

I am having mine at Piccolo in Bellmore... very close to wantagh/seaford area. We got an amazing price for tons of food and they have a private room. FM me if you want more details.

Ours is at Per Un Angelo (the Jones Beach Hotel) it's right off of Merrick Road by Wantagh Pkwy. They have a really cute room with a back patio that we can use if the weather cooperates.
I've been to La Piazza in Merrick for a bridal shower and the food was delish!
Paddy's Loft in Seaford is a cute place, too
And I've also been to a bridal shower and rehearsal dinner at the Wantagh Inn.

I'd recommend any of these places! GL!

Try Elisa's in Wantagh. THey are very reasonable and the food is very yummy!!

You might also try Domenicos in Levittown.
