So today I was on a mission: to find possible rehearsal dinner places for davenjess that are close to the Fox Hollow. I’m putting what I found out here on the boards because I haven’t been to a single one of them, and would like some feedback.
Okay, so here’s what I found. These are all on Jericho Tunrpike in Syosset/Woodbury:
Sahara Fulton &Prime The Inn Between Café Testarossa Sagamore Steak House Stresa East (at the Woodbury Best Western) Major’s Steak House
And the Woodlands is there, and I think they have a restaurant.
Anyone know anything about these places? All I did was drive by and saw they were there.

I called Cafe Testerosa and they don't do RD's on Saturday nights... BEWARE SUNDAY BRIDES - this seems to be an issue for us!!!!

Hhehe, no problem! I do have to let you know that I nearly ran over a goose—its hard to drive and write things down at worse! Besides, Syosset is plagued with mean tempered geese

What's odd about that is I watch Eureka - a really great show on Sci-Fi & just watched last weeks' episode on TIVO and it had a bit to do with Geese...
Hmmm....maybe a geese cake topper is in my future.. :)

I’ll just throw out my impressions…
The Sahara looked like it had a tropical theme going on...I think it even said ‘club’ on the sign? It is a restaurant too. I seem to remember they had a fake palm tree outside before, but it’s gone now.
Fulton & Prime was a steak place—I’ve walked past if before and it looked fancy.
The Inn Between looked cute…I THINK it’s a restaurant, but this was where I nearly had my goose accident, so I’m not sure.

The Inn Between is a restaurant and a bar. The place I used to work at had parties there. The food is pretty good there.

My sister was married at FH but unfortunately she had her rehearsal at my parents house so thats obvioulsy not an option.
The night before we went to Inn between but its really small I wouldn't recommend it for a RD.
I can definetely recommend Stresa. The food is REALLY good. We went there for a friends bday last year.
Other than that i don't know the food at any of the other places
