Rehersal dinner problems

So, I was talking to my father last night, and the subject of the rehersal dinner came up. We were planning on having it the Thursday before since our hall has events friday and saturday night. Well, my father started a new job in October, and has some project this summer, and apparently can't make it up to NY till Friday, earliest

So what do I do? Do I just forget him and my brother and sister (who are in the bridal party) have the rehersal thursday, and just catch them up on what's going on, or do I try to see if there's somewhere else we can go to do the rehersal just so we know where to go.

And mind you, this isn't the first time a major event in my life has, god forbid, upset the schedule of someone in my father's family (coughhsgraduationcough).

personally, i would try for friday. just not the same without pops

hmm, yeah, i guess i'm gonna have to call them, maybe see if we can sneak in at about 3 on Friday.

you need to get in the hall to practice before teh event scheduled for that day starts right?

If it was me, i would tell Dad to take off regardless. Its his daughters wedding and he shoudl use his vacation/ sick days for that.

if he really cant, i would make it early in the afternoon and then have an early dinner at a restaurant
