Rehersal dinner question

Rehersal dinner question

So I am getting married on Memorial day weekend... and I am trying to decide wether to have my Rehersal dinner at a resturant or have a BBQ at my house ( I believe it will be on a thurs. because their will not do the rehersal on the weekend) I kind of feel that a BBQ will be nice because we can relax and spend time together, plus it is close to memorial day and might be cheaper then a resturant. But at the same time we would have to worry about weather....and I dont want it to be cheesy to have it at my house.

What is your opinion!
Please help me decide!?!

Thanks!

I would have the BBQ and rent a tent this way if it rains or if it is very hot you are covered.

hey chica! yea... i agree a BBQ totally goes with the Memorial Day Weekend theme and if you have a tent you can do it rain or shine and ALFIE your favorite lil puppy can be there!

BBQ's are so much more fun and relaxing. People are able to mingle more. Get a tent to be safe though!!

Totally have a bbq at your place.... I did it and It was an awesome time and we werent rushed. It was more relaxing and care free!!! If you have it at a resturant, you are on a time limit and couped up in one particular area, usually people are forced to keep there conversations to a minimum and forced to be on time. When I had a bbq...everyone was drinking, being loud, talking to everyone and staying late!! It was awesome. PLUSSSS We saved so much money. Have your close family members each bring there favorite thing to make.

Yes, tents are expensive!! I would definitely do the BBQ and just go inside if it rains...I'm sure it will be nice, even though it's more casual!

exactly what i was going to say...to be honest, i think we are going to have it at my house too, and we are in the middle of august, its just too expensive with everything else to now be paying for another party at a restaurant

BBQ all the way, as long as you have space for it.

One of my bm's had her rehearsal dinner at her husband's parent's house. It was the best rehearsal dinner ever. They had a tent and catered mexican food. Hired a family friend to be a 'bartender' and then we all went in their pool and hot tub at the end of the night. It was so much fun!!!
