I am pretty new to these boards, but have to admit that I have been scanning them for some time. Thet have been extremely helpful and supportive. So thank you....
I need some advice on what to do about the rehearsal dinner. When are you supposed to have it in relation to your wedding? My wedding is a Sunday at 12 noon... do I do it that Friday (same weekend?) or the week, weeks before? What have or are you all doing? Any advice would be so gratefully appreciated!

Some people do it the week before, a few days before or even the night before...
I am getting married on a Sunday and having it the Friday before so people don't have to worry about going to work the next day!

I didnt have choice of when I wanted to have it. The wedding is on Saturday and the church told me that the rehersal would be on Thursday evening. I chose a restaurant that was only a few minutes away from the church so that people didn't have to drive far and eat too late

We are getting married at the reception site, so the decision on when to have it is up to us..... I appreciate all of the help that you have given me!... I guess there are no rules about this sort of thing!..... You girls are great.... so much appreciated!

We are getting married on Sat. at 3pm and our RD is on the Thursday before, so we can party Thurs. night and relax on Friday. You should check with the place your ceremony is at to see when you can have a rehearsal.

It's pretty much up to you. We wanted to do it in the same weekend since some of our BP is OOT. We're having it the friday night before our sat night wedding.
Oh and welcome! You're going to tahiti for your HM? What resorts are you staying in? There's a whole FP thread on the honeymoon board if you want to take a peek. I'm going in June!!!
