rehersal question

rehersal question

I just found out my church is booked for the friday before my wedding. Is it strange to have the rehersal ceremony and dinner the week before that? The wedding is June 14th meaning having the rehersal June 6th. My mom is telling me people will forget what to do the day of....

Any thoughts?

you can do your rehersal when ever you want we did ours the thursday b4 our wedding

Personally, I think having it the week before would be fine...In all honesty there really isn't a ton to remember, so it will be fine...and if someone forgets something, oh well..no one will remember that!

And, having it the week before, you get to spread the fun and excitement over more time! :) (mine is the night before - which actually stresses me out a bit but, everything will work out...)

That's what our church wanted us to do b/c we had the same problem--but our whole BP is OOT, so it wouldn't work for us. We're actually having the RD first, then the actual rehearsal at 7:30pm after the Friday weddings are over....just another option!

Is there anyway that you can do it during the week? If you have OOT'ers in your BP it might make it easier for them.

Do it when its good for you! there nothing wrong with the week before if everyone can make it!

same here! i don't think it matters if it's a week before! i have OOP BM's so they wouldn't be able to come if it was the week before.

we are probably doing our rehearsal the week before. its not brain surgery so people aren't going to forget how to walk down an aisle. i think the rehearsal is more for the kids to be comfy with their surroundings, for the readers to practice at the mic and for people to understand a general layout of the ceremony. people aren't going to forget this.

I was going to say try the Thursday night before your wedding. it's still close to the weekend

We purposely scheduled it for the week before

I didn't want it on the night before (friday) cuz I want to be relaxed.

I didn't want to do it during the week because ppl have work and we have some OOT BP.

So, the saturday before worked well for us.

No not at all, I am having mine on Oct. 2nd my wedding is Oct. 10th, but I wanted it that way so that we can have a good time that night without worrying about the next day. For the most part each person in my wedding has been in a wedding at least 2 times, they are all pretty similar so I am sure everyone will be fine!
