Butera's, Banng Cafe and Passionfish all in woodbury are great...I don't know how they would be for a rehearsal dinner.
Mary's Backyard in Bethpage is terrific. It's a really small but very cute place with delicious food.

Honestly, my FSIL got married at NRC (down the block from Crest Hollow) and she had hers at Majors Steakhouse in their upstairs room. I loved it! There were about 15-20 people....

I;ve heard of people using Cafe Testarossa in Westbury. Never been there though.

Def check out Cafe Testarossa on Jericho Tpke in Syosset, it's right down the block and was just renovated. Their food is awesome. Mim's in Syosset is also great. If you want something different, there is Baang in the Woodbury Commons which is Asian Fusion and delicious!
