I am sure you could get the vellum in any color you want. I am like you ...wanting everything to flow the same. But if it doesn't come in lavender i wouldn't freak out. It isn't crazy to have a different color

I understand how you feel, but your guests will love your invitation, and they won't realize that the vellum didn't match your 'colors'.

Since the invitation won't be at the wedding, I don't think anyone will even notice or think about the difference in color between the velum and your wedding colors. My invites are white/ivory and I am considering having blue writing but my colors for the wedding are red. I don't think it matters. If you love the invitations, that is all that matters!

i would try to get the lavender and if I couldnt then id use what i had. they are SO beautiful!

The invitations are so pretty! I would try to get the lavender, but if you can't, then don't worry about it. I know how you feel though - things like that drive me crazy too!

My friend obsessed over the color of her STD cards until someone said 'Honey, they're not going to hold the card up to your bridesmaids' dresses.'

Do what makes you happy, but it'll be okay if it isn't an exact match.

Don't sweat the small stuff, darlin'. Too much big stuff in life to worry about. The invite is just beautiful & no one (except you) will give it a moments thought that the color is different.

I think those invitations are beautiful! If you could get a different color- great, if not I would still use them. Can you tell me where you found them?

I found them in the Rexcraft catalog, but I am ordering them through Rebecca at Favorite Things (she's a vendor here)

they have one with a white overlay, but I don't see any other colors...oh well! I got a sample of the white and I like the blue better...so blue it is!

To be honest and maybe it's just my computer but the overlay in the pic looks lavendar to me.

I think it is close enough. Unless they can give you lavendar (doens't hurt to ask) for no extra price or a bit more in price then go for it. If not, I wouldn't scrap the whole choice of invitation because the overlay is a shade off. It's not like it's an orange vellum overlay

i agree, the overlay looks lavendar to me.... i think the invitation is beautiful and if you can't get it in lavendar i think you should get this one. no one is going to notice.
