If any of the bridesmaids wants to do there own make and not use the artist you choose, would you be okay with that. I'm just curious.

It depends. Are you picking up the tab for the makeup or are you asking them to pay for it? If you're not paying for it then it should be their choice.

I wouldn't mind, expecially since I'm not paying for their makeup. My sister is thinking of doing her own as well as another one of my sisters. She's good at putting on makeup though, so I wouldn't be to worried.

thanks for your opinion girls. i know its a big expense. my sister said she would get her hair done but she doesn't know about the make up. she said she'll have makeup on

I'm not getting my makeup done for Neen's wedding- as A BM, one of our friends is doing it (or I can do it myself)..

and as for MY wedding, I am NOT requiring my BM's to get their makeup done. If they want to, that's great, but if not, it's really not that big of a deal to me... all that matters is how I Look in the pictures!

I'm not picky...and I'm not paying so I can't tell my girls what to do...I'm sure they'll want to look beautiful and will!

I am asking my girls to have their hair porfessionally done - But as to where and how much they want to spend - up to them.
I let them know who I was using for makeup and gave them the OPTION of having their makeup done, but I don't feel right telling them they have to - Especially b/c I'm not paying for it !!

I would be okay with it. It's their choice. If I was paying for it, then she just saved me some $$

Its definately ok. I gave my girls the option to get their make up done by the artist. They declined, but thats ok! :)

I'm not paying for it, so it's really their choice. I'd be fine with it. But...if I knew a girl could pay for it and chose not to do it (while everyone else was having theirs done), it wouldn 't 'bother' me but I'd think it was a little weird.

hate to be the beeyotch here, but i am 'making' my girls get there makeup done.

They are my sisters and my best friend, so they are all for doing what i want and totally understand and agree that we should all look made up.

I am paying for half.

my girls are beautiful just the way they are

Plus, not to sound like a snot... but i dont care what they look like that day.. i know theyll all be beautiful no matter what, all i care about is that *I* look like a princess

the only thing i'm requiring of my girls (besides the BM dress that i picked out) is to show up, wear the dress, and have a good time

I am making every one use the makeup artist, they have no other options, if someone cant afford it I would probably split the bill with them

I am not being picky about make up and hair for them. One bridesmaid is coming with me and getting both done, one is coming and not doing either she is doing it herself and my other one lives out eas so i dont know what shes gonna do. I completely understand that they cant affford to spend the money and if i coulld, i would do it for them.
