My friend use to swear by making Jello and drinking it just like that. I hate Jello so never did it, but he use to swear by it.

Did you try gargling with salt and water? Don't know if it really works but is a remedy I know my mom used. Feel better!!

I'm at work so I can't use Jello and I don't want to gargle (something about spitting into the bathroom sinks here gross me out) but I would do these remedies if I were home! Help!!

Ok Tea tea and lots more tea - keep your fluids REALLY high.

OK THIS ONE YOU WILL KILL ME FOR - but I used to sing and my voice instructor used to tell me to eat some garlic - it WILL clear you up - at least somewhat - BUT everyone will hate you

Honestly the honey soothes it but I have NOT found it to work - the only thing that works for me is LOTS of fluids - mostly warm - IF you have a sore throat - blend some juice with ice and drink that - or make lemonade and blend it to make it icy - that will soothe your throat

Chicken Soup.

Ginger.

Not necessarily together.

Also - Avoid caffeine - try decaf or herbal teas.

Rachel,
Classically trained singer.

ETA: PS - The warm salt water gargling DOES work - My mom does it. Her dad was a doctor.

Try standing in a hot shower for long time- the steam will help. And sleep with a humidifier. Drink lots of water - even just plain hot water. No Dairy products!!

ooh, I have it too right now. It sucks!

If its not bacterial, theres nothing you can really take for it. Just resting your voice (as in not talking at all!), and drinking lots of water and decaf tea should help it get better on its own.

Feel better!
