remember when i bragged about.....

no nausea.....

Well six weeks hit and I feel awful! I am nauseaus ALL day long. I have not thrown up but it feels just as bad. And SO dizzy! I always wanted to be one of those 'nothing gets me down' mommies to be, but GOD I feel sick! I am eating little things all day, but nothing appeals to me except yogurt. And water. Any advice on how to feed this little peanut to make a little happer in there?

I'm sorry. I'm not preggy but I read one of the girls wrote on here that crackers are great for getting rid of nausea.

i have a stash of crackers. unfortunately I think I have built up some kind of aversion to them. I am associating them with feeling sick!

jenny I'm going through the same thing. It got bad to the point that I cant even leave the house becuase I cant stop throwing up.
It's been over a month now and it's really been awful.
Go buy some B-6 vitamins.. they are sopposed to help with the nausea on SOME WOMAN.. unfortunatly they didn't work on me.
I can keep s*u*c*k*ing candies down is about all...
Good thing is, although I know some woman who have nausea through there entire pregnancy.. with most woman it does subside going into the 2nd trimester..
The baby will be fine.. it still takes what it needs from your body.. keep eating any types of crackers with salt.. try bagels too..
Hang in there Mommy!

I feel your pain Whenever I threw something up that was it I couldn't eat it again I find that chewing pepermint gum or smelling lemons helps with the nausea, don't know why but it does Cinnamon candies helped too! Hope you feel better All saltines did was make me feel like a parrot

I used those seasickness pressure point bands on my wrists and it did seem to help a bit (maybe it was a mental thing). Plus, anything salty helped, like pretzels and saltines.

I feel your pain, Jen ! This time is just miserable. I was getting it all night, so I couldn't even sleep! The nautia would wake me up.

I found that if I ate plain bread or toast & tried to keep my tummy full, then it wouldn't be as bad. The hunger made it worse. And then I got dizzy, too! So even though you don't feel like eating, you really have to.

Hang in there ... I was dying for a few weeks & then it dissapeared w/practically no sign of it! It was like the cloud just lifted!!! Hope you feel better.

So sorry you feel miserable
It will go away soon, and you'll have days when you are on top of the world during your pregnancy. I nibbled on saltines all day long, and just made sure to keep my stomach full (usually of carbs).
Hoep you feel better soon!

Re: remember when i bragged about.....

thanks guys! It makes me feel better to know that a lot of you have gone through this...I can't wait until I am feeling great about being pregnant!

I discovered at 4:00 am that Ovaltine can be very settling...I will try more carbs for sure. Can anybody explain WHY there is nausea? Is it hormones only?
