Remembering loved ones...

Does anyone have a good poem or saying to put on the back of the church programs to remember family that we lost?

Anything would help! THANKS!

Re: Remembering loved ones...

We plan on doing the program thing, but I havent figured out a poem or anything yet.

We did buy a vase with a cute little saying on it that my florist is going to put a dozen roses in to symbolize all the family members FH and I lost.

We also ordered a cylinder that we will put a candle in to remember FH's father.

I bought both from this site

This is what I wrote:

We Remember...
Regretfully some of our loved ones are no longer with us to celebrate this special day, We feel that they are with us in spirit and are in our hearts.
We would like to remember them with love.

In Memory of the bride's father Joseph Amatuccio,

Walk me down the aisle Dad You’re the only one who can Over these scattered rose petals To where I’ll take his hand Walk me down the aisle Dad And fill my heart with peace Whisper that you’re proud of me Set my soul at ease Walk me down the aisle Dad Though it seems I walk alone I carry you inside my heart Life lessons not outgrown Walk me down the aisle Dad And dry my endless tears My life’s forever changing I miss you more each passing year If God would grant me just one wish I’d wish for one more day For you to walk me down the aisle, Dad And give your little girl away.

No problem! For a friends wedding, I bought this charm to hang on her bo-k to remember her grandma.

Re: Remembering loved ones...

I lost my Dad and brother to cancer the past few years and what I decided to do was put pics of each of them in the program and then I wrote a personal note on how much they taught me and are loved and missed. Underneath the pics on the bottom I have a quote in italics from the Bible (because we're Catholic)...

Jesus said 'I am the resurrection and the life...whoever lives and believes in me will never die.'

Not sure if that's too holy roller for you but I always find comfort in that part of our faith and felt it honored them. Good luck.

I have a charm for my mom and on the back of her pic it says 'today I carry you'

Oh....it is so sad to not have her there that day!
