i so understand what you are going through my mom is the same way. She gave my brother and sister 8,000 for there wedding and an engagement gift. Well i didnt get that at all. So no i got a part time job and i dont want to except anything from her

I can relate- My Mom is the same way. My parents are paying for mostly everything and have a tendency to control things because they are paying. Well, I can't say THEY because my Dad is really cool with everything but my Mom is a pain.
Good for you for standing up to her. Maybe your Mom will step back and realize that she has been a bit difficult. She will probably end up coming around because of this.

My Mom was this way with my sister. For instance she insisted her and her family be at the first table on the brides side of the RH. So the whole bridal party had to sit at the first two tables on the grooms side and his parent and their fam sat at the 3rd table (they could have cared less).
Anyway, my Mom knows she doesn't get away with that crap with me, and I made it clear when she offered her money that my decisions wouldn't be swayed by her. So far we've been ok.
