Can anyone tell me the best way to remove mystic tan?? I had my shower this past weekend (which was great) and I had went for 2 MT sessions last week...well it had started to fade in mulitple spots and now im all blotchy and quite nasty looking from it...(but not on my face thank god!) I would have done regular tanning but I had just been checked for skin cancer on my face, and luckily its not cancer, but was advised to stay out of the sun for quite awhile. My wedding is in about 3 weeks and I like to get this stuff off of me asap so that i can try another approach. I've been using exfoliating sponges in conjunction with foaming scrubs. Ive had success in some spots, but it has just made it look worse. Any suggestions on how to speed this up?

Re: Removing Mystic Tan
I had it done a few weeks ago and unfortunately that is how it looks as it fades on your body. But thankfully and for some reason your face and neck area fade wiht a much more natural look. I felt I looked a little orange from the mystic but one of my friends was telling me about another place that is a little more money but so worth it and it looks much more natural than the mystic. I dont know where you live but the place is Racine's in Islip. She said they do a full body exfoliation before they apply the tanner. She is getting it done next week for a weddin if you would like I can send you pictures?

Re: Removing Mystic Tan
Try St. Ives Apricot Scrub, Queen Helene Oatmeal 'n Honey Natural Facial Scrub. Or any type of scrub along this line. It says a facial scrub but I use it to get that spray tan off of my body. It's also great when shaving you get a nice smooth shave. It takes about 3 / 4 showers to be back to normal. Hope this helps. :0)

Re: Removing Mystic Tan
I've heard the same about lemon and if you want to make it like an exfoliator they say to add lemon juice into some sugar, make it a little looser than the texture of wet sand and rub it on your body!
Good Luck with this

that is how it looks when it comes off - i get airbrushed tanned and the same thing happens - to get it off i scrub with soap, water and a washcloth in the shower - usually when it starts getting blotchy (about 5 days in) that means its ready to come off and its pretty easy to get off my body with a rough washcloth and soap - then i get sprayed again....i love airbrush tanning except for the yucky peeling/blotchy look but b/c of skin cancer i cannot go in the sun so i deal with it...
