FH and i are thinking of going to the fair today up in Tuxedo, NY. This medieval stuff dosent sound very interesting to me, but im wondering if it would be fun to go anyways. Has anyone ever gone?

Re: Renaissance fair?
this is my only year not going - i just don't have the money to make the trip since we get there and spend tons of it on beer and food typically. But i I use to also get dressed up too and get all into it. It is fun for the regular people who just wnat something diff. to do. Lots of great shows and tons of great crafts to buy.

The fair is great. I used to go every year with my family when I was younger. You can totally get into it. Everyone is in character and its fun watching all the shows. Be prepared....its is in the middle of no-where. I am from Westchester and its about 45 minutes north of that in the mountains, but its beautiful on a nice day.

I've been a few times. It's a lot of fun. There are some people that get really into it and dress up in costumes. The food is really good. Don't forget to order some mead!

I was there about 3 years ago, it was so much fun. The people are dressed up in character costumes, big turkey legs to eat, and reinactments. If you're a history buff you'd love it. Even if you're not, it's alot of fun.
