Has any been to the Renaissance of Astoria? I received a postcard today in the mail and it looked pretty nice. I checked out their website and I think I'm going to take a look at it. I was just curious if anyone has been there as a guest or just to look around. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
I will be attending a wedding there in Feb. From what I've heard, it's a nice place!

Thanks...at least someone heard of it, lol. I guess I'll go take a look for myself. I thinks it might wind up to be pricey though it seems like everything in an add-on.

Re: Renaissance of Astoria
When I was hall searching in Queens I went to Renaissance. The place itself inside is very nice. The outside.....questionable. Think of Renaissance more like a restaurant. There is nowhere outside to take pics, no bridal suite. For CH they close the bar area off with a sliding curtain and that is pretty much the area for CH.
I knew my sister was going to a wedding there the same day I visited, so that is why I decided to visit that day. I wanted to see it all set up.
To make a long story short, my sister called me that night after the wedding to beg me not to have the wedding there. Basically she was stopping somewhere for food because she was hungry. She indicated that during CH she was only given 2 little things to try and then the butlers were gone. For dinner, she said the servings were so tiny that the mashed potato side was smaller than a tablespoon. Even if I had not had my sister warning me about the food, I would not have booked. Maureen, you are correct, EVERYTHING is separate. It's very expensive for what they actually provide. My sister felt so bad for the bride because she knew they had paid decent $$$ for what they got.
