Ok so these are the ONLY 3 places on long island that have the dress I've been dieing to try on!!! Ugh of course bc the wedding center has nothing but bad reviews, but we got bridesmaids dresses there for my aunt's wedding and she got her wedding dress there and we all had no problem but that was 12 or 13 years ago!!! I had a personal problem with renatas alterations department (I didn't like the way ny bridesmaid dress fit compared to the only other bridesmaid, but it was good just looked better on the skinny girl so maybe it was just me being fat and uncomfortable lol) but that was also 6 yrs ago do that seamstress might not even be there anymore!! and fantasia was terrible when we went for bridesmaids dresses a few months ago! They were not helpful at all! I felt left to fend for our selves but so many people rave about them!!
So my question is what would you do? Would u give the wedding center a chance? Ive never delt with the bridal gown dept at renatas should I give them a chance? Or try and hope for a better experience at fantasia? What would you do???

Who did you work with at Fantasia? I've had such a fantastic experience there so far. I worked with Alicia to buy my dress and then I worked with Jenise for my veil/headpiece. Both of them were so nice and accommodating. The only downside is that Rocky Point is kind of a trip for me (as well as for a lot of people). I wish they were closer because I kind of put off making my appointments with them, LOL. But I'm really glad I went there for the sole reason of why the heck not.

I wish I could remember but they basically pointed me in the direction of the dresses and said have at it. I was holding like 6 dresses at one point one consultant walked right past didn't offer to help another said if u need help let me know and went to ruin off I had to.lime yell wait stop I do needhelp can u put these by the dressing room!!. The lady that said she was going to help me never came back she got a few dresses out of the basement for me that my plus size maids could try on which was only 3! And when I made the appointment they said they had a bunch of plus sample bm dressrs!! Lies!!!

I went into the wedding center once just to check it out. I was just so turned off by the whole experience. I don't have any experience with the other two. But, I will say, bridesmaids experiences are different than when you're the bride. So, keep that in mind with the other two places. Also remember, they're supposed to work to keep YOUR business. If you're not happy, just leave.
If you don't mind, who is the designer of the dress you're looking for? With all the salons on LI, there must be more than just those three places? Especially if you're going to Kleinfelds.

It's an Alfred Angelo. i got the list of the salons from Alfred.Angelo website and called them all!!! Princess bridal in farmingdale had it but they sold it Rk bridal has it too but they r in the city and I can't guarantee I'll be there in time for them to take me after klienfelds Burtons was going to call them and ask to barrow it for me Bridal suite of bayshore, Huntington, and centerreach all carry AA but don't have that dress! Literally only those 3 places!

I went with my best friend to the wedding center to look at wedding gowns for her and we hated it there. We said even if she found the dress there we would get it someplace else, they seemed unprofessional and not very knowledgeable. Very unpleasant experience. My cousin got her wedding dress at Fantasia Bridal and had a fantastic experience and I had a great experience there when I was looking for my wedding dress. I agree that bridesmaid dress experiences are usually very different than bridal so bear that in mind. My cousin didn't have one complaint about Fantasia, from when she looked there to alterations, it was all great, that's why I looked there. Best of luck!

What a beautiful dress! i agree, give the other shops a whirl, but def don't go to the wedding center. lol.

I.figured if I have a bad experience again at those places then if my experience at bridal suite of bayshore is good then I can anyways just order it there even this they don't have it in stock!

A friend if mine got her dress at Wedding Center and she got a package deal (limos, photog/video, flowers, etc.) and she said the only thing that she DIDNT have a complaint about was her dress. She said they were helpful, alterations were easy with no hiccups at all and she was pregnant (lots of body changing) and they made changes up until a few days before the wedding, with no problem.

I loved the experience at Fantasia Bridal! Candy was my consultant and she was so nice! I do agree, that when it came to bridesmaid dresses, she said that my sisters and I can pick what we want. But I was not turned off by that, in fact, we had fun looking at dresses together. She was certainly not rude in any way, and if we had any questions, she was right there to answer them. Definitely go back to Fantasia and give them a chance, they're very accommodating.

When I called back I think I got candy, she is going to open an hr early so I can come in. So that's a step in the right direction!!

Just to let u know I called a salon that carried a soecific designer. I asked about a specific dress they said they didn't have it. I went anyway bc I liked the designer and they had the dress
