Rent tuxedo or buy a new suit for Groom and grooms mens?
Hi, What is everyone opinion in terms of renting tux or just getting nice well suited suit for a groom and groom mens? I hear that those rental might not sit very well considering that groom a big guy 6.5 ? Thanks

We had the guys buy suits instead of renting tuxes and everybody loved the idea. They were basically the same price and in the end they got to keep the suits and wear them again. We went to Karako in Farmingdale. We also had a few bigger and taller people and it worked out great.

FH is going to buy himself a great suit, but the rest are going to rent tuxes.

My husband had an AMAZING suit made with super duper high end fabric and trimmings and then each of them GMs had suits made with a fabric/style that we picked. We contributed towards each of their suits, as the GM gift, to bring the price down to that of a tux rental...
so for the cost of renting a tux or suit, each GM walked away with a tailored custom suit. they were OBSESSED with the idea!

I had one friend who had a small BP, only 3 GM's, so they bought suits - so did the groom.
For my BP, 6 GM's, we went through men's warehouse and they had a deal where if you rented 5 or more tuxes, the groom's rental was free OR he had a $400 voucher towards the purchase of a suit or tux... so he bought his own tuxedo. Sure, he might not get much use of it in the future, depending on if we're invited to black tie events. But he loved having his own tuxedo... if I can spend so much $$ on a dress, he could spring for the tux!

i think FH plans on having his groomsmen rent. and he said something about a promotion with mens warehouse where the groom can get a free one to keep (suit or tux) but im not sure. he has to look into it.
