Renters NWR

Renters NWR

FH and I think we have found a great apartment. Its brand new but does not have complex ammenties like pool, fitness club etc... We havent signed the lease but are scheduled to at 1350 a month. A few of FH's coworkers seemed to think this was a lot. I am just curious...if you feel comfortable posting...what is your rent and location?

P.S. Its a one bedroom, brand new (stainless steel appliances, crown molding, spacious, terrace, etc...) in West Babylon. Heat, Water, and Gas are included...we are responsible for electric.

right now we r paying 1100, but also paying fo oil (like 100 a month) and electirc (60-80 per month) so 1350 if all is included doesn't sound that bad to me

out location is Bethpage

if ur apartment is in a building then thats a fab price. We saw a million buildings and a 1 bedroom was like 1400-1800

1350/month with everything but electric included sounds like a great price to me.

I'm confused though...you said it doesn't include pool ammenities or anything like that...is there a pool in the complex and you're just not permitted to use it or you're saying that they don't have those ammenities period?

to be honest, in a complex i think its a little high without all the amenities. at this point you're just going to be paying for 'West' Babylon.

I'd look all these complexes in Holbrook & Patchoque and base it on that. there's so many to look at there!

We don't have the ammenities at all. The complex is fairly small.

Is it a Fairfield property? FH & I lived in a FF complex in Deer Park for 2 years but now we are in a house. The whole complex was redone with stainless steel app, crown moldings, etc. The new rent price was $1395...we just had to pay electric too.

I don't think $1350 is a bad price for what you're getting. You could find cheaper but prob won't be all brand new or include heat/water/gas

YES it is Fairfield. They are running a rent special for 1350...How was your experience there?

We didn't have ANY problems whatsoever. The first year of our contract it was diff owners but right as we signed our 2nd year lease, Fairfield bought it and renovated everything. Came out beautifully. Which one in West Bab? I know there are a few. We were at Fairfield Court in Deer Park on Golden Ave. The only downside was that it was veryyy close to the RR tracks and we'd hear the trains pass by...but got pretty used to it.

'09er crashing - check out the Harbour Club in West Babylon. New kitchens and baths AND a pool! FH and I are closing on our house next week and I'm going to be sad to leave the Harbour Club behind.

GinaRandy2010 I think lives in Fairfield! (I think she has said that once) If she doesn't I know she lives in West Babylon and can probably give you an idea of what the going rate is. I used to live in West Babylon...1 bedroom (not updated) was $1,100 3 years ago so I don't think $1,350 is far off.

There are some apartments (called the Muncie Road side) that are electric heat. Most of the apartments are in the main part of the complex and have oil heat. They discount the rents on the units that are electric heat so you are paying the same amount. My LIPA bill runs about $70 every 2 months. I have been very happy here and am truly sad to leave it. I moved in back in December of 1999 and thought 'I'll be here a year or 2' - 10 years later I'm just moving out!
