Re: Renting
I've heard of people getting good tenants by advertising on college campuses. Are you near any colleges? You can often get quiet grad students.

Re: Renting
I'll second the grad students = good tenants. Our old landlord rented our apt out to a grad student I work with and she loves him. I work in a grad dept and any other the students here would probably make good tenants. They are responsible, quiet, studious.

Re: Renting
Our apartment is a legal apt., so we went to a realtor and had them rent it for us (we had final approval on who moved it). It was great because it was free for us - only the tenant pays the realtor fee, plus the realtor ran credit scores and did other checks on them. They are GREAT tenants! No complaints at all. They are nice, quiet, always on time with the rent. No complaints.

Re: Renting
How about a young couple too--if you have room for two? FH and I rented right before the wedding and during our first year of marriage and I think we were pretty good tenants, never had any problems with landlord/lady.

I agree, our tenants are a young couple and just got married 3 months before we did. I think they are looking for a house now, but they are great and I would def look to rent to another young couple.
