Just wanted some thoughts on renting a wedding dress. So many people have told me that they spent so much on a dress and then it just sits in the closet.

Re: renting a dress
I haven't looked into this, because I think it's very important for the dress to fit correctly. It would work if you find something that is perfectly your size.
I plan on buying an expensive dress (within reason) and then selling it on preownedweddingdresses.com. I been checking this website regularly. The dress I'm currently interested in retails for 4,000 and I've seen it sold on that website for 2,500. You could consider selling after as an option.
Also, you could always buy it used. Like I said, the fit is very important to me, so I'd rather not take the chance of buying a dress that's already been altered.
