Renting a Mansion or Estate for a Wedding

Can anyone recommend a particular Estate or Mansion that does NOT advertise widely? (already checked the museum route...)
Thank you!

P.S. Suffolk County preferred

P.S.S. I also have a post up to find out more about The Masury Estate ...If anyone can help there, that would be great too

Have you checked out Oheka Castle? The grounds are really gorgeous and would be great for picture taking.

I agree, we're having just our ceremony there on the grounds...I think it's so pretty with good picture opportunities.

Masury Estate is in Center Moriches. Its on the water. Its an old mansion. How many people are you planning on having? My best guess is that it can accommodate about 100 people. There is a main dinning room and off to the side is a long narrow room that was once the estates' bowling alley. There is also a room with the bar. Its a very pretty place.. My cousin lives there and we've had several family events out there (including a wedding). I'm not sure if you need to be part of the community or if it can be rented to the public. FM me with any questions.

We are getting married at the Woodlands, which is a mansion that is located on the grounds of the Town of Oyster Bay golf course.

I had thought about doing this myself and I was going to call realtors in the Hamptons to see if they knew of anyone renting their mansion/estate weekly. I never followed through with it b/c I realized it would get very expensive. It would involve renting tents, chairs, linens, china, etc. etc. But if that's something in your budget, I would go that route.

Also, maybe a coordinator could make some suggestions.
