Reply Postcards?

I found a magazine with beautiful inviations that I love, but the response cards are postcards. I thought it was a good idea bc postcards are also cheaper to mail, however I am worried that they may get lost in the mail. What to you girls think? Has anyone used them or know of anyone who did?

I did this!!! It worked out great!!!
I had my invitations custome made through printedstar.com I emailed them and kinda told them what I wanted and they turned out amazing!!

the post cards were great, only 2 people said the rsvp'd and I never got them for some reason these are the same 2 people who never rsvp to anything so I have a feeling it wasn't the postal service.

I don't think there should be a problem with them I always get the stupid ones from companies advertising so why wouldn't yours make it!!

Mine came as part of my invite package. Many companies are using them now. A lot easier.

I absolutely adore the postcard responses....i'm not positive if i'm using them or not though. One other thing im indecisive about lol. I really can't see any negatives with using them instead of a traditional response card.

Re: Reply Postcards?

Remember you have to put more postage on the traditional ones, and buy the little envelopes for them so it adds cost, but its personal preference.. What ever you like. It was so easy, everytime one came in the mail, no opening them, just flip it over and see... I did get one without a name they forgot, and I found out after, you should # them on the back so you know who the card belongs to I never thought of this, it was no big deal we figured it out in the end but I've heard some girls say they got several back like that.

A friend of mine did this and loved it. It did lead to a couple of giggles though when a couple of older relatives found an envelope to put the already stamped postcard in. Guess they missed the point.

Re: Reply Postcards?

lol, I did get some in envelopes, people wrote on it sorry couldn't find the envelope it was already stamped!! LOL
we used reg. cardstock
it just has to be as thick as the return cards you see in magazines to subscribe, which most cardstock is

oh one more thing!! it cannot be larger then a certain size (i forgot but the guy at the post office gave me the measurments) or smaller then a certain size... and don't expect them to come back in perfect shape, some of them got slightly ripped, but def. check your size first with the post office
