Thinking of waiting until after the hurricane season but wanted to see what you all thought??

maybe you should do a mexico cruise instead of the caribbean cruise b/c of the hurricanes.

I went on one this past September to the Bahamas and the weather couldn't be more perfect! It rained just a little bit while we were in Nassau but we were in the water during our excursion so we were wet anyway! There's always a chance for a hurricane during that time of year... I could be wrong but if you purchase insurance, you may be able to get refunded should the trip be canceled due to a hurricane.
We booked for Sept. because it was just sooo much cheaper than any other month.

the only way to escape them is to go to the ABC islands.. (aruba, bonaire, curacao) and some other ones that are that far south.... goin blank on the others at the moment

I went on one last August out of Puerto Rico and got caught in a hurricane at the end of the trip.... so I wont be doing that again

We are taking our honeymoon Aug 15-25 on an Eastern Carribean cruise. (Puerto Rico, Bermuda, St. Thomas and Grand Turk) The good thing about going on a cruise is that if there is a hurricane the boat will just go to a different port.

Dont do it!!!!!! My fiance and I went to Jamaica last August and got stuck there for 11 days with no electricity and no communication! They close everything down - it was a horrible experience - check out south pacific cruises or western mexican cruises!

Its pretty much a huge risk. Last summer was pretty mild, but you never know. My aunt got stuck in one two years ago and they missed out on going to one of the islands on their trip. I wouldnt do it. JMO

Two years ago we went on a cruise to Bermuda at the end of July into August. We got such a great price we couldn't say no, but it was risky. For the most part we had nice weather but there was a couple of days when it rained. We still had a great time though because there is so much to do on the boat anyways.
