Repost BHB: What Does The RH Set Up For You

I've been hearing a lot of different things lately. My RH said that I drop off all my stuff about a week before the wedding, tell them how I want it set up and they will take care of it. But lately I've been hearing (not about my RH specifically) that RH's won't do certain things. For example, I have some bud vases and candles I want put on the tables, will they do that? My florist told me that the RH will not do that, that that is not the RH job. Well if they won't do it and its not their 'job' what is the point in dropping everything off a week before? I'm so confused.

I'm going to call my BM and ask but I just wanted to get an idea first of what I should expect them to do. TIA

My RH did EVERYTHING I wanted them to do.... I just explained what I wanted done and the room was absolutely perfect the day of my wedding and everything was exactly how I wanted it.

I would type exactly what you want done and then make sure to hand it in at your final meeting

RH does everything.

Unless it's handled by another vendor everything you leave with them they will set up.

I've never seen it done any other way.

My RH said they will do anything except they said no to the chair sashes.. They said it would take too long since they had to tie 200 of them...

but I used my best sad puppy dog face... and also I was previously told they would do it.. so now they said they will.

I think there might be RH's that could possibly charge for certain things to be set up. But that all depends on the specific RH.

Also if you have a DOC they will set things up for you.

Your best bet is to ask your RH specifically what they set up.

Regardless you would still need those items sent over so if they are holding it for you for a week... that's great!!

They do set up for you Kerri...S+P will do all the votives and petals on CH tables, mantles, etc. However you want to be specific with your DOC on exactly where you want specific photos, slipper baskets, etc. The Royalton will do chair sashes for you no problem.

To the OP. Your florist doesn't provide all the little vases and tealights/votives? Ours did all that for us. I don't see why WM wouldn't put out the things you bring them to put out....I would ask other WM brides if they have experience with this.
