Repost - Bridal Party at Engagement Party

I tried posting this on BHB but didn't get many responses... maybe you lovely 08 ladies can be of more help....

My engagement party is coming up and I wanted to ask some past brides - did you do anything to distinguish your bridal party at all? I was thinking about getting them personalized toasting flutes but I wasn't sure if it was necessary or if maybe other guests would feel slighted.
What do you guys think?

a lot of girls on here gave them cards ....with poems in them ...or a small gift
i didnt know when i asked my BP that we were supposed to do something like that ...so i just told them ...i would check on the DIY board also

im not sure what the right answer is or if there is one - I amnot having an engagement party but if i were, i don't think i would do anything

they will be acknowledged at the wedding

I already asked them.

The real issue is this - although the bridal party knows who they are, we haven't really made a big announcement to everyone else (ie other friends who may have thought they would be in and are not).

I was wanting to get them these cute champagne flutes that are personalized with Maid of Honor, Bridesmaid, ets and their names and put them on the tables where they are sitting... but I wasn't sure if it would make other people feel bad.

I'm probably overthinking this, but I just wanted to see if anyone else did a little 'something' or if it would be totally off base..

These are the ones I was thinking of getting, plus I have a 20% off code so they come to around 11 dollars each.

I'm doing the same thing, only I'm giving the personalized flutes to my MOH and the Best Man (at the Rehearsal Dinner, so they don't lose it before the wedding). I kind of feel like my BM's wouldn't keep them - especially the single ones, like 'oh here's my 'always a bridesmaid' flute'... They'll use whatever the RH gives.

I'm getting mine from Personal Creations (we're not having a super formal wedding)...

Oh and in case you haven't ordered from Personal Creations before - I do all the time, never had a problem with them!!!! (Except for the doormats and rugs - quality isn't that great on those guys)...

These flutes are going to be AWESOME!!!
