repost- can anyone suggest a beach location for pics?

hi girls,

I am looking for a beach location that is not too far out. my reception is at jt and i am looking for something about 1/2 hour away
can anyone suggest a beach? is there an area at jones beach that is not too crowded or good for wedding pics?
anyone familiar with crescent beac in glen cove?

I was thinking Long Beach or Lido Beach but I haven't been there lately.

Why not just go to Jones Beach and pick a field.....if you go after 6 the fields would be pretty empty. Field 5 has the boardwalk.

I took mine at Sunken Meadow but I'm assuming you'd want to stay in nassau.

I don't know about 1/2 hour away, but there are plenty on the South Shore (Long Beach, Lido, Jones). There is also one in Bayville, but again might be a little hike.

Maybe your Photographer can suggest some spots

I am a south shore girl and lido, long beach, jones, etc. are going to be at least 20-30 minute drive each way for you... do you have the time for that? if so, do one of those.... the south shore has better beaches... better sand and waves. north shore beaches are just on the sound so there aren't any waves really....

I think the best e-pics i have seen on beaches have all been on long beach.. by the boardwalk

well, as for jones beach, i thought it might be crowded on a summer day. we will be taking pics after the ceremony which ends approx. 2:30.
I didnt want to drive too far out and i havent been to jones beach in ages- and i know that it's a long walk from the parking lot to the shore- and i dont want my bp to suffer in the heat...

i was also concerned about traffic, so i was looking for something nearby- we are going to take few shots there, b/c i think i want to try to take pics at owg or planting fields...

The suggestions were helpful! I am going to do a location scout in the next few weeks...
