repost from 04B: Changing my theme? (Dang you Jann!)

the favors ordeal was so hard...

We finally agreed on a favor, we both like it. It's simple and easy.

But it's asian. So are the colors I've moved to Claret/deep red & gold because of my rose.
(from yellow to red tips)

With all this Red & Gold..

I think im dropping my fall theme and going Asian.

hrmm

Honestly we don't care what it is since our wedding is instantly unique (Asian/American) I think the hall can handle the asian theme alright.. it's woodsie which is pretty compatible with anything. The asian stuff is getting easier for us to work with.
Plus our invitations are red asian themed in Chinese & English.

I say do the Asian theme, so many people do a fall theme.

I posted this response on the 04 board, but I'll put it here too:

I love the asian theme idea! You could give out little bamboo plants as favors! (I originally wanted to do this, but it didn't work with my theme.) Oooh - you could do so much with an asian theme, and I love how red and gold looks together!

Go for it!

If you like the Asian theme (I think it's great, BTW) go for it! Although, red and gold are still technically autumn colors. You still are kind of keeping with the fall theme!

I think it would be a great theme! What about maybe giving really a really nice pair of chopsticks as a favor? You can probably get some nice ones fairly inexpensive in bulk. I'm always forgetting to ask for chopsticks when I get Chinese food, so I wish I had a pair on hand every week when we order!

I think red and gold will be perfect, but I don't think you need to change your flower colors. I think you can mix a little Autumn theme with the Chinese theme...just tie the reds in together.

ETS: Durr...you said you agreed on favors. Nevermind.

You get all the credit! I want none of it. I've got my own wedding to take the blame, er, credit for!

Although we've have a few indepth discussions about our fall themes, I voted GO FOR IT! It refelcts your uniqueness (is that even a word?)
