I want to use the favor below, plus the (west indian) black cake in the cake boxes...but my mother doesn't think it's 'enough'. What's enough or too much?
I already have the cookie cutters, so that's a done deal...but if I have to add something I was thinking personalized pens with our names and wed date...or am I good with just the cookie cutters and cake??
I think thats a wonderful favor!!! Favors are whatever you make them....i really think that these days you can do ANYTHING!!! lots of girls on this site arent even doing favors! but i think your idea is just right!

The favor is just a token to say thank you to your guest for coming. You do what is best for you and what is the best expression on you and your fh.

I think another favor would be too much, and it sounds like you've already got what you need covered. The cake sounds yum....

If YOU feel that you have to add another favor then by all means go ahead. I think the best favor is something that your guest can use and when using they can say 'how thoughtful of them' I also think that the cake and cookie cutters are the perfect favors!!!
I have so many favors from weddings that just sit on my dresser and after a couple of years they get thrown out.....sorry to say but it's true. We are having something our guest can use over and over again and never have to throw it out because it's taking up space on their dresser.

I think the cookie cutters and cake are just perfect. I don't think you need anything else. If I was your guest I would be very excited to get both of those things.

I realize that because I do the same thing with favors that I get from other weddings and that's why I don't want to spend a ton of money for someone else's garbage...same things goes for the invites!!! Money comes and so quickly does it go!!

I think you have enough stuff. You give what you want to give. If you feel you have enough, then you do! I believe that people will always have something to say, especially parents. It's your day, so what you say goes!
