Repost from '05 - My make-up trial!

I had a friend of mine to a make-up trial on me this past weekend - and I love it! I hadn't realized she did her sister's wedding, and thought she did an amazing job. I was quite impressed! Just wanted to share a few pics - I'm really excited about this!

PS, I apologize in advance if any small children have nightmares due to my terrifying before picture

I think your makeup looks nice, but the only thing I would change is the eye shadow. It looks a little to dark, but that may also be the picture you took.

I think it looks nice and very soft. I would not go lighter at all. When the camera is further away it will look perfect.

Re: Repost from '05 - My make-up trial!

yeah, we were having similar thoughts. I think we're going to do it again with a brown eyeliner to see if that softens up the look...

It was quite a shock to me since I'm usually a 'foundation, mascara and lip-gloss' kind of gal.

Thanks

Thank you The camera was only arms length away since I took the picture myself - my friend was saying that you need to do darker than you would normally so that it shows up in the pictures. As I posted about though I think we might try a brown eyeliner next time to see if that lightens it up a bit

The camera length and the lighting will all soften your makeup. Whenever I am doing a show or getting a headshot done I feel like the makeup is caked on, but in photos it looks so soft and natural. It feels and looks odd because you aren't used to it, but it looks really beautiful.

Thanks so much! It felt so weird! As my MOH so kindly pointed out, 'I haven't see you with real make-up on since prom'

I think it looks great, but I do agree that maybe a little lighter on the eyes
