repost from 06-breast cancer awareness pins, is this a good idea?
Hi
need your opinion. My mom passed away 4 years ago, she had breast cancer. I wanted to do something special in her honor, and not just the memory candle I'm already doing. I also don't want to make the large dollar donation because I donate all year round and for personal reasons want to offer a real favor for my guests. anyway-with that said;
do you think it's a good idea, or a bad one to purchase breast cancer pins in bulk as a small token to give to my guests in remembrance of my mom? do you think that's too much, or OK?

FYI, I am still doing the wine bottle favors & jordan almond flowers...the pink ribbon pin would just be something to honor my mom specifically

I love the idea~!It is a lovely way to honor your mom and to help others! I am doing something similar- the breast cancer awareness car magnets in addition to the donation.

ooh the car magnets might actually be a better gift, since it's not too girly? I was worried that the guys wouldn't appreciate the pins too much.

We donated to the Adelphi Breast Cancer Program, and I thought about putting the pins through the donation scrolls.

that was actually my thinking too- they were fairly inexpensive and I got these great pillow boxes that they fit in perfectly
