My 7/14/06 review of Villa Lombardi’s
Please note that this is MY PERSONAL OPINION!!!!
Décor- This place is very beautiful & the grounds are very nice.
Cocktail Hour: There was tons of food hot/cold and everything I tasted was delicious.
Service & Food: the wait staff that we had at our table was very nice, however if you turned your back for one second your drink was gone! They also kept coming over to ask if we were done eating & that made us feel a little rushed. I had shrimp oregenato for dinner & it wasn’t really too good. I didn’t finish it The veggies & potato were excellent. DH had rack of lamb & it was over cooked & he also didn’t finish it. As for everyone else at our table they said the food was just okay. However, my in-laws were at another table & enjoyed their dinner.
They did not do a Venetian hour, so I can’t comment on that. There was another wedding going on either upstairs or in the room next to us & during dinner we could hear the music pumping in there.
I have heard so many wonderful things about this place, but to be perfectly honest-maybe they just had a bad night. All in all we had a good time, as well as the bride & groom.
