REPOST from 07 Boards: NWR: Teachers, I need your help....Again

I need some help ladies....

I was asked to perform a demo (guidance related) lesson for a school next week. My question is, approximately how long should it be and what exactly are they looking for when they ask for a demo lesson (like what would I do, or act as if I am giving the lesson to kids).

Thanks. This is all pretty new to me. (they didn't teach this in grad school. ugh! )

Not exactly sure if I can help since I teach social studies but my demo was actually a class period around 40 minutes I guess...my advice would be to have the kids do some kind of activity at some point...good luck...sorry I am not more helpful
