VACUUMS?

I am being pretty lazy and hoping someone here has done the leg work. I am looking for an upright bagless, I need one with good suction cause I have a dog that sheds a lot.

Any info will be appreciated.

lol.. i am like a vacuum freak!

a few months ago i went to sears and read the consumer reports on all of them..

i bought what was rated the number one vacuum.. it was a purple upright bagless kenmore.. and it works great.. BUT.. it's WAY heavy.. really wide.. and just a big pain in the asss. i can't tell you how many times i've almost fallen down the freakin stairs with it.



SO i just switched over to a dyson (and it's PINK i might add.. they made it to support breast cancer).. and i love it. it's light.. it's really easy to drag around the house.. up stairs and such.. i would totally recommend it over the kenmore even though the kenmore was rated better.



idk.. hope this helps! if you have more carpets.. i'd recommend the kenmore, but if you have more floors, then definitely the dyson.

eta - i have 3 dogs, so i know about the hair problem

we have a Hoover from Bed Bath and Beyond (it's purple :) although it looks grey in the pic) . My sister has the same one, it was about $160. It has the embedded dirt finder, very cool, it lets you know when it has gotten up all the dirt in that section of the carpet. it is bagless and has the hose and the furniture cleaner (like a mini vacuum with the revolving brush) I really like it and we have two dogs and my sister has a big German Shepard and she loves it.

I didn't want to go broke on a vacuum but I still wanted a good one and the dysons are way out of my league.
