Repost from 08- Cinque Terre , Italy

HI!!

I am working to book my HM (Italy)... we would like to go to Cinque Terre but are having some difficulty finding a hotel... Has anyone ever been there? Which town would you stay at? Hotel recommendations? We're also going to Rome & Florence & the TA is helping us with those arrangements but has no info on Cinque Terre.

beautiful place.. the thing with hotels in small towns like that. are that they are not gonna be extravagant..

check out tripadvisor.com we used that site to book ours.. It was more of a pensione.. and vernazza was our home base.. i'd recommend there or monterosso..the other 3 towns are nice to visit but are quieter - JMO..

at night you can take the train from town to town if you want to go to dinner elsewhere.. dinner there is late night (9:30ish) and tends to be the nightlife there.. its more of a romantic place to go.. but sipping wine and absorbing the sunset and the views or hanging in the room ;) was better than a club/bar for us and you'll see when you go.. its beautiful...

we walked through all five towns in one day.. tiring but fun... check out rick steves for info on that..
