Repost from 08: Color of suit for morning wedding?
Anyone have ideas for the color (or type) of suit for FH and groomsmen for a morning wedding? The ceremony is at 11:30 am.
FH was going to do black, but finding that it is hard to get one b/c there are not many styles that fit him and his father said people don't usually wear black suits.
Everything that we read says that tuxedos are not appropriate for morning weddings. And unfortunately, FH doesn't like the traditional morning suits. I like them though.

my wedding is at 12:30 and I am planning to use gray suits for the groom

Gray (could be anything from light to charcoal) or navy?

My daughter got married at 11:30 too and it was a very formal wedding and the guys wore black tuxes.

YOu can do a black tux if you want to, no one is going to pay attention to 'what is right' if you wanted to do something else you can do khaki or grey suits
