I know a bunch of you are having your mom's walk you down the aisle. My dad ( who is my stepdad...my mom married him when I was 5 but now they are divorced for 4 years) is still in my life but we aren't close. I am dancing with him at the wedding and having him introduced during reception..
Here is my question...
I originally wasn't having him walk down the aisle since my mom is. Is this wrong? If he did I wouldn't know who he would walk down with... what do you girls think? Is it ok if he doesnt?
TIA for your opinions

I think its a nice idea to have your mom walk you down. Even though he's still in your life, you said you two aren't close, and that they are now divorced... and being that he is technically your stepfather, I think its nicer for you to have your mom walk you.

Thanks ! I am 100% having my mom walk me down. I wasn't going to have him walk down at all. Like he would just be sitting in front. And then I would have him introduced and do the dance with him. I just wanted to see if people thought it was wrong that I wasn't having him walk down the aisle all together...

He raised you, so to me he's your dad. I would have them both walk you down the isle. I know plenty of people who aren't close to their dads but I guess out of respect had him walk them down. Just my opinion. In the end, go with what you feel is right.

I think that it's your wedding and you should do what makes you the happiest. Don't worry about hurting his feelings, I'm sure he wants you to be happy and do what's right for you.
