So we are actually meeting with a hall this weekend! I know that I am going to love it but here is the tiny dilema. The church is about 40-50 minutes away from the hall. Is this ok? I know most people don't normally go to the church anyway but is it ok to ask guest to drive 45 minutes for out wedding?
I know whenever fh and I go to a wedding, even if its close, we stay at the hotel because of the after party and we don't have to worry about driving. I will def have a hotel near the hall and provide shuttle service from hall to hotel but would you not want to drive 40 minutes to a wedding?

I don't think that close friends and family would mind at all and those are the people you want to be at the church. I don't think its asking alot.

I personally wouldn't want to drive close to an hour to go to the RH, no matter how close i am to the bride & groom, but that's just me...

I would have no problem driving that distance for the wedding of someone I cared about. I've driven further to go shopping for a new dress!

My church was about 45 minutes away from peoples homes-they all went to the church and even went home in between before the reception-so they did the drive 3 times before the end of the night.
I dont think its too much to ask-people who want to be there will do it

I wouldn't mind driving...You can't plan a wedding based on where the guests live...I have family all over the island
