Ok I have had the hardest time trying to find dresses I like for the BM's. I finally do yesterday 2 of them actually the bad thing is the fabric, Charmeuse. It isn't very 'forgiving' and I don't have any BM's that are big girls however everyone has their problem areas. These dresses do show flaws easily but honeslty I really want to use them.
I know this is what Spanx are for, I just dont want my girls to feel uncomfortable. Oh side note I have 10 girls I know I won't find something everyone loves but I want to try and accomodate them as much as possible.
Also I really don't like the same color, different dresses look. No offense to anyone doing that it's just not my personal taste.
WHAT TO DO???????

Re: Repost from '10er's... BM Dress Dilemma
It sounds like you should balance between the dress you really like and whether you really do want them all to be super comfortable. It seems to be very important to you that they all wear exactly the same dress, no matter their shape. So it seems like you know what you will be doing.
It might make more sense for you to keep looking for a little while, considering how much time you have until your wedding. We ordered our BM dresses in late February for our July wedding. So you have plenty of time.
Over the course of the next 6 - 8 months, you may very well change your tastes a bit. Something might come into style that you haven't even considered yet but absolutely love!
Since you have all these concerns and such a large BP, taking a little more time then looking at what you love now and seeing if you still love it in, say, August, might make you more confident about your decision.
Your BP will love you still no matter what you choose for them to wear, and they will still have a wonderful time enjoying your day! Just take your time with the decision since you have some time, and everything will fall into place and you'll be confident about it! HTH!

Re: Repost from '10er's... BM Dress Dilemma
IMO....If I didn't feel comfortable in a BM dress, I'd be in horrid state. If I'm expected to shell out the money for a dress, I would at least want to feel comfortable (like if it were tight, too loose, showed flawes, etc).
BUT, I do think the girls should at least try on the dresses. You never know how it may look...and I am a big proponent of Spanx, I'd wear it no matter what with a BM dress. You may not even like how they look, let alone the BMs.
Good luck

Well I went and we I did try them on with one BM. The sample was smaller so I knew I had try it on and I did like it on. I am not a tiny girl either. I would also wear spanx with it but I would wear it.
I think I am going to go with the previous posters idea and wait a little longer, I know I do still have time.

My BM are wearing Bill Lekvoff in tissue taffeta material - it is VERY flattering on everyone. Go the website and you can search by that material - there are long and short dresses, and very affordable (my dresses are about $135)

I would go and look at what lines carry irridescent taffeta materials, and then go from there. I know Jordan does, as well, and they have a lot more color choices than Bill Levkoff

Re: Repost from '10er's... BM Dress Dilemma
The good news is you have some time, in a few months you'll probably change your mind all together. My suggestion to you, and this is what I did because I have 8 girls, is go to the store together, if not all of the 10 then some of them and have a little fashion show! I had all my girls trying on different styles and when i saw the one i loved and got a general consensus, that's the one we went with and each girl took a turn trying it on!
You won't be able to please everyone, that's impossible, but when the girls have the dresses on it's easier to see what's going to work and what's not!
Good luck!!

I'd keep looking. If you think that BMs might feel uncomfortable, chances are someone/a few girls will be uncomfortable.
What does this dress look like? And what color are you interested in?

Not to sound incredibly picky here but my color is Fuschia and I HATE irredecent Fuchia! I love Irridecent Taffetta but in my color I HATE IT!
