I have a simliar situation since my father is deceased. We are only putting my Mom's name and his parents names on the invites. Both sides of our families know hes gone, and I personally don't want the reminder that he is.
I think you could do either way. Or maybe at the ceremony do a rememberance in the program to 'all those who are no longer with us' and include him there with maybe anyone else like the grandparents who have passed or someone close.
