Repost from BHB.... Did anyone get a delayed 'this is THE dress' feeling?
So I hear that when people try on their wedding dress they get the 'this is the one' feeling. Yesterday I didn't really get it while trying them on, but I haven't stopped thinking about it since then and I think it may be the one. (Maggie Lavina Royale)
I think I was kind of overwhelmed as it was my first dress shopping experience, and I went in with the mindset that I wanted a different dress,(Maggie Victoriana) but trying it on, it wasn't quite as spectacular as I thought (on ME - I'm short so I think the skirt overwhelmed me a little bit, I still love this dress!).
I'm going to try Lavina on again next week and I can't wait. I haven't stopped looking at pictures! Did anyone else get a delayed reaction? Lol
It also didn't help that the sales ladies were telling me they liked Victoriana better on me... I think that was messing with my head....

I wasn't getting that feeling either and then when I had decided on a dress my mom told me to just try on a couple more in case and I found 'the' dress. Then when we went to buy it my mom was like try on a couple more and I told her no way! She turned to me and told me that's how you know it's the right dress when you dont want to try on any more.

I did! I did! I got a lil whoa feeling but wasnt like anything crazy so i wanted to try more on.... If you constantly compare that 1 gown to every other one you try on after it, i think it may be the one

I visited alot of bridal shops Sometimes the feeling happens right away sometime it takes several visit to different bridal shops.

I'm with all of you girls. I didn't have 'the feeling' either...I tried on millions of dresses and the last dress I tried on I got the feeling.
People always said it's usually the first dress, but mine was the last dress.

I got the feeling about several dresses and had a very hard time deciding. Finally I just had to make up my mind and pick one.

I did..... I went for a completely different dress... plain and simple and ended up with the mother of all beaded dresses haha...

i totally had the delayed reaction. i tried on the dress and really liked it, but was not sure if i LOVED it, but my mom, FMIL and FSIL loved it. As i kept standing on the pedistal I loved it more and more, then every dress after it was compared to it, and the morning after trying it on, the first thing i did was look at it online! i think that was the sign that it's 'the one'!

You will get that feeling. When I found my dress, I still kept trying on other dresses. But, no matter what else I tried on, I went back to the one I liked.
