REPOST FROM BHB: Help w/ Bridal Shower Location!

Hi Ladies,

I need your advice. I am going to be inviting about 40 - 50 people and I need the cost to stay under $1000! I will take any and all suggestions however, I can;t have it at home because I don't live on LI and my FMIL has not offered her home even though I kinda hinted at it. We wouldn't fit anyway. We will be doing this is February 07 at some point and Location is not super important - cost is much more of a factor. So either county is fine.

I have done some searches on here already and have not found much that is inexpensive.

a chinese buffet? lunch is usually $10 per person. most places give you a private room.

I would try a local, family-owned italian restaurant. They might give the whole thing to you for the afternoon. My cousin had her's at Rana's in Merrick and it was really nice and I believe it was inexpensive. What about doing a tea or a brunch instead?
