Repost from BHB: So Disappointed

just got home from a Labor Day get together and was checking my e-mail and FH's aunt sent me an email regarding my bridal shower. She put in the title of the e-mail ('Your Bridal Shower September 26th'). I'm so upset because it was suppose to be a surprise. I was looking forward to getting surprised :(

She was telling me that she RSVP'd to my sister (MH) but hadn't heard from her and wanted to know where to send the gift. HELLO!!! Why would you e-mail me? Or at least why would you put the date of the bridal shower, just ask me where to send the gift. I'm so upset but I can't even vent to any one because I don't want to ruin the surprise for them. I want them to think that I still don't know, they put a lot of work into making it a surprise.

my stepmother did the same thing to me. Sent me an email saying how sorry she was that she wasn't going to be able to make my shower on August 30.

BUT - I had the most amazing day anyway. I didn't let it get me down that the surprise was ruined and the only one who knows that it was ruined was FH. I let everyone else believe that they got me.

Maybe it's a setup. You never know until that day - it could be the day before or the weekend before.

Long ago (lol) when I had my shower, my mother had a little note book and wrote down things about my shower with the date and I was so mad that I saw it. I never said anything to anyone, that I had seen it. Turns out, my shower was the weekend before that date and was I surprised.

That *****! I am so sorry! I had a bunch of people ruin my surprise too and it was really upsetting... Regardless, you are going to have an amazing time though! I know you are upset now but trust me, this will not take away form your shower! It is still going to be great!
