Repost from BHB..Reception Time Help Needed

My church time is at 3:30. We made the CH to start at 7:30 since it's on a Friday. I figured with work and people coming in from other areas to push it back later. Anyway now we have a Venetian hour so now the reception will end at 1:30 which I think is too late. I feel like everyone will leave at like 12-12:30. By the time we are out of the church it will prob be 4:30, I think my photographer plans on doing a location shoot and then back to my reception hall but there def won't be enough time even though my hall is only 20 min away from the church since we still have to take pictures at the hall. We planned on taking a lot of pictures at the hall since it's on a golf course which is one of the reasons we chose it. I think the location shoot was going to be at a local park so I think it's pointless to be doing pictures at places with pretty much the same background. We could cut the location shoot out all together and just go to the hall which would prob make more sense and do all the pictures there. So do I keep the 7:30 or move to 7 or earlied? I just keep thinking 1:30 is so late for it to end.

Are you having a ceremony or a full mass?

My mass starts at 3 and it'll end at 4. My timeline looks something like this

3pm Mass
4pm Receiving line
leave church around 4:30/4:45 ish
Arrive at RH around 5:30ish (the latest. This is including extra time for traffic)
Photos until 7
7pm cocktail.

We are doing all of our pictures at the RH since we also have a full Golf Course to use. That was one of the things I liked best about the hall. There's no need to go anywhere in between the church and hall. This also saves us $ on limo's.

If your having a full mass I would keep cocktail at 7:30 unless you ok missing some of cocktail. If your having a ceremony I think your ok with the 7.

We arrive at 7 to RH
pictures from 7:15-8:15
Ch starts at 8-9- ( we want to go to ours)
dance 8-1

I actually want my to end 1:30 I feel like I dont have enough time lol we also have a Venetian hour !
If you thing it is too long you can have it end at 1:00
