repost from lifam.. just watched Ladder 49 and i have a question

First off i loved it thought it was really good. I know that there was some movie that was suppose to be released shortly after 9/11 and was postponed due to its content being very sensitive considering what just took place, was this the movie? I think it is b/c it would make sense but maybe i am thinking of another movie. anyone know??

I don't think that was the movie. From what I remember it was some kind of war/terrorism movie.

yea it was that movie by something morris or something ... i can't think of the name but it was a documentary about 9-11 and pres bush and who all knew it was coming ...

No I don't think that is the movie she is talking about. It was a 'Fictional' movie and it was about terrorism and was similar to 9-11' I don't think it has even been released yet.

I loved ladder 49 it reminded me of Backdraft it was kinda like the same kind of story but a little different really really good!!

The movie you were thinking about was a movie with Arnold Schwartzneger (sp??). It was about terrorist trying to take over the USA and Arnolds character saves everyone.

I thought the acting was terrible - it was soooo slow. I honestly turned it off after about an hour. FH disliked it too.

I don't know - it was just boring to me.

I really liked that movie but not something I can watch more then once. DH loved it and bought the dvd.
Its really sad for me and hard to watch some parts... my brother in law is FDNY and it breaks my heart thinking about him, my nephew, and my sister as that firemans wife

and if she did, how did she handle it??

i don't know what happens in the movie, but I can only imagine that it doesn't have a happy ending....
I cried during the entire show tonight on home makeover....can you imagine what a basket case I'd be like if i watched Ladder 49??

As of yet she has not watched it! Honestly if I were her and I saw it I would not be able to sleep at night
