we don't have enough to have movers do it....anyone recommend truck lines? Uhaul quoted $1200!!!!

I am not sure... but $1200 doesn't even sound like too bad a price to go from NY to GA. I know re-locating moving is not cheap. Thats why a lot of companies frown upon hiring re-locators because they expect them to pick up the cost.
I know this isn't the case for you. Was that $1200 quote DIY?
You might want to try to local yellow pages and call around.
