Repost: Im in need of some GREAT appetizer recommendations!
So somehow DH and I got suckered in to hosting Christmas at our house this year. Being that there is going to be 13 people, I couldn't do a sit-down dinner because of lack of table space. So when I was talking with my aunt about what dishes to have, she half-jokingly/half-seriously suggested serving just all appetizers. And since it wasn't going to be a sit-down dinner anyway, I thought that it was a good idea.
So now......I am drawing a blank on ideas for appetizers! I could definitely use your recommendations for some fairly easy, can pretty much satisy everyone's appetites, and obviously delicious appetizers! Help!

FH and I have been hosting every holiday dinner ..and have been for the past 3 yrs (xmas ,thanksgiving, easter).
13 ppl is a lot.. BUT.. it shouldnt be difficult
i would just do a buffet style.. make a turkey(cut it up and put it in the aluminum dishes).. stuffing.. a ham...a tray of lasagna ..and a salad..
and have an assortment of veggies and crackers with diff cheese dips(allouette brand is great cuz u could leave it in the contianer it comes in) .. also get mini quiches or a party pack appetizer from the supermarket.. ppl will munch on those.. and drink their drinks..
by the time its ready for dinner.. ppl wont be STARVING.. and it will look like u made soooooo much food.
being that its your 1st yr hosting, I wouldnt do JUST appetizers.. afterall, it IS christmas DINNER.
oh and for dessert ice cream and cake..
and im sure ppl will be bringing stuff as well.
fm me for super easy recipes..
HTH and good luck

Instead of doing apetizers why don't you do buffett style? You could make chicken parm, and get some cold salads to along with it. Also look into catering. Allot of restraunts do this!
